Empowering youth in Singapore to advocate for equitable climate policies
We recognise that climate change disproportionately impacts already marginalised groups, including lower-income households and migrant workers in Singapore. We seek to uplift their voices and highlight the intersections between climate and social issues in all that we do.
Over the years, SYCA’s goals have broadened to provide a platform for Singaporean youths to engage in topics related to sustainable development and social inclusivity. We conduct workshops on climate awareness through talks in schools, outreach events, as well as focus group discussions. We have also continued to engage with various decision-makers to become a collective voice for youths in Singapore.

The Mekong School: Institute of Local Knowledge

The Mekong School: Institute of Local Knowledge was established on the 18th and 19th of December, 2015 by the Rak Chiang Khong Group to enhance the work of The Mekong-Lanna Natural Resources and Cultural Conservation Network, and to serve as a platform for follow-up studies on changes caused by development in the Mekong River Basin.
The school comprises of a group of Thai activists, community leaders and student researchers and facilitators, who work to preserve local knowledge about the Mekong and empower local communities in their struggles to preserve their local farming livelihoods.

The CASE project objective is to propose evidence-based solutions to the challenges that decision-makers are facing and to build societal support around those solutions in the region by applying a joint fact-finding approach to narrow areas of disagreement through the involvement of expert analysis and dialogue.
CASE furthermore aims at supporting coordination in the SEA power sector by providing technical and policy support and facilitating dialogue concerning energy issues.

ANGA allows ASEAN to shape multilateral environmental agreements for the protection of the region’s land use sector. ANGA originated from the activities and successes of the ASEAN-CRN that translated science into policies.

Mekong Watch's mission is to create a framework such that the views and opinions of affected communities will be respected and lessons learned from past projects will be reflected at every stage of development in the Mekong Region.
Mekong Watch is a Japanese NGO based in Tokyo. They combine research and advocacy to address and prevent the negative environmental and social impacts of development in the Mekong Region.
They are especially concerned about the lack of consultation with affected communities in development planning and implementation and the role Japanese financing. By contacting communities directly, they try to bridge the information and communication gaps between them and decision-makers in Japan.

The Save the Mekong coalition supports local communities, raises awareness about the risks of hydropower, and advocates for sustainable, accountable solutions to energy and water needs in the region.
The Save the Mekong Coalition is a coalition of non-government organizations, community-based groups and networks, academics, artists and ordinary citizens within the Mekong region and internationally.
The coalition was formed in 2009 in response to the public’s growing concern about the effects that hydropower dam development on the Mekong River would have on migratory fish stocks, regional food security, and the livelihoods of millions of people.
